Fast electric car charging requires cooler cables

Electric vehicles can only charge so fast, because the high current of the charging cable creates too much heat. Issam Mudawar has teamed up with Ford Motor Company to design a charging cable that can handle four times as much current, potentially charging a vehicle in under 5 minutes.
