The North Face of the Rostrum
Published at : November 09, 2021
Climbing the North Face of the Rostrum in mid September with Alon Gurman. A burly day for us but for sure a rite of passage. I ended up getting pretty scared and tired from the 2nd pitch. Then the 10d travers into the OW on pitch 6 worked me. By the time we were on pitch 7 I was fried and had to aid through the last 30ft. We hoped to have energy or psych to climb the alien finish but it was obvious that the only thing in our future was the blind faith finish. Which, being freaking worked, wasn’t a gimme either. I reached the top with crushed hands and a blood soaked shirt. It was a day to remember.
