The Old Fashioned: Orange & Whisky Dry Age ๐Ÿฅƒ๐ŸŠ

The Old Fashioned is my go-to steakhouse cocktail - it was only a matter of time before I gave this a shot.

In previous dry age experiments, the flavor of citrus zest penetrated deeply. Specifically on the tequila lime roast, the lime zest flavor was extremely apparent. I found that orange zest contained far more moisture than lime or lemon zest, which is possibly why the orange flavor was less intense. While still noticeable, it was subtle. In the future I plan on experimenting with orange juice powder/extract for additional flavor, but either way the end result was still incredible!
